Hope in a Bottle: Chronic Lyme Relief

73 chronic Lyme patients: brain fog lifted, pain eased,
energy returned — in 14 days. The mechanism? Ultra-low-dose immune modulation targeting the cytokine overactivation that drives symptoms. Published science.
Real patients. Time to investigate. #ChronicLyme

Story Overview

Hundreds of thousands of Americans with Chronic Lyme disease have exhausted antibiotic options and have nowhere left to turn. This story follows a 14-day clinical observation of 73 confirmed Chronic Lyme patients who experienced statistically significant improvements in cognitive function, energy, pain, and quality of life — using an ultra-low-dose immune-modulating supplement. Independent French research from Institut Pasteur explains the mechanism. We are not selling a cure. We are calling on HHS and NIH to formally investigate thimerosal's immune-modulating properties as a potential treatment. Patients deserve that investigation.

Target Audience

Primary: Chronic Lyme disease patients who have completed antibiotic treatment and continue to suffer — and the estimated 476,000 Americans newly diagnosed with Lyme disease each year who are at risk of developing chronic symptoms.

Secondary: Integrative and primary care physicians treating Chronic Lyme patients who lack FDA-approved treatment options.

Policy audience: NIH NCATS, HHS LymeX leadership, FDA CDER drug repurposing program staff, and Congressional representatives withconstituents burdened by tick-borne illness.

Research community: Immunologists and clinical trialists looking for mechanistically plausible, commercially unencumbered candidates for Chronic Lyme treatment trials.

Priority

The single most important priority for Chronic Lyme patients is this: a funded, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial of ultra-low-dose immune modulation targeting the cytokine dysregulation that drives persistent symptoms.

No FDA-approved treatment exists for Chronic Lyme disease. Patients are told they have been treated and yet they cannot function. The cytokine science is established. The preliminary clinical data exists. What is missing is the government-funded trial that no pharmaceutical company will ever run on a generic compound. HHS and NIH must fill that gap — now.

I agree this trial should be funded, and support anything that is going to make the difference of whether or not someone can function in the day or not - physically and cognitively. Thank you for the work you're doing!

CelWel really works. More practitioners and patients need to be informed about how this reduces the adverse symptoms of Lyme disease.

You have my vote!

Lyme needs rigorous research, whether it involves pharmaceutical compounds, botanicals, noninvasive technologies or other emerging approaches. This is especially critical for chronic lyme patients who remain ill after antibiotics, those who cannot tolerate standard antibiotic or anti-inflammatory treatments, and are left searching for options.

We also need providers equipped to recognize the above presentations, connect the dots and help patients access appropriate options. Recognition, access and treatment are the foundational pieces that must advance together. Otherwise, future patients will continue down the same painful path as those already suffering. I also purchased and am looking forward to trying! 🍋‍🟩

I have not had Lymes disease at any point in time, but over a time period of 1.5 yrs I have had episodes of hives & swelling, doubling up on OTC allergy meds, which can have some side effects. Then I was introduced to CelWel, I took as directed for 2-3wks, and so far my hives and swelling have literally disappated! At the present time I am taking CelWel prophylactically 2x a day, therefore I am able to discontinue my nightime allergy med, and I have seen a great improvement with my seasonal allergy symptoms as well. I am very pleased with this product, and will continue with this as my daily regimen.

CelWel is such a uniquely wonderful product. Why? Because it works for more than its original intention. When I feel a lack of energy, as if I may be coming down with a cold/flu, CelWel is my first choice & it has not failed to provide relief.

This funding is critically important for providing some hope and scientifically documented relief for so many suffering from the debilitating effects of Lyme disease with an apparent “Do no harm” product.

I would CelWel to be magic cure for variety of my ailments.

It helped with my joint aches and pains and it also addressed chronic headaches and dizziness caused by menopause that I've had for over 1 year prior to taking celwel. After 3 days of celwel they were gone. Now when I forget to take celwel and feel headache coming on, I take celwel promotly and notice it dissipate in minutes.

Having struggled with chronic low grade depressions for years, I've also noticed significant improvement in my mood since I've started taking celwel.

I've been taking it for 3 months now and planning to continue.

Having witnessed the devastation of Lyme disease and long term Lyme before the medical community recognized both to be real and learned how to begin to treat them, the importance of work in this field and funding are very clear.

After struggling with persistent Lyme disease symptoms—especially the inflammation that made daily movement difficult—I decided to try CelWel. I followed the directions carefully, and over time I noticed a real difference. The inflammation eased, my joints felt more manageable, and I finally experienced a level of relief I hadn’t felt in a long while. CelWel became an important part of my recovery journey, and I’m genuinely grateful for the improvement it helped me achieve.

Hi Joel,

I like that you mention prioritizing a funded, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial of ultra-low-dose immune modulation.

Supporting the Clinical Trials Network for Lyme and other tick-borne diseases is so important because there are still too many unanswered questions and too many patients struggling to find answers. We need researchers and clinicians working together, sharing information, and conducting meaningful clinical trials so we can better understand why some people remain sick and what treatments can actually help.

The CTN gives us a real opportunity to move the research forward in a more coordinated way. Supporting it means supporting patients who have been waiting far too long for better answers, better treatments, and ultimately, hope for a healthier future. We have to keep pushing for the research and resources needed to get us there.

I found CelWel worked for me! After rounds of antibiotics I was left with side effects of Lyme Disease, making movement difficult, which interfered with my daily activities. After taking CelWel my movement greatly improved and my energy level increased. I fully support more scientific research into CelWel. Until you’ve had Lyme Disease you can’t understand how debilitating it is. More research to improve outcomes is clearly needed.

Celwel is already gaining traction in the Lyme community, and for good reason: not much helps Lyme, so when things do, people take notice! This was recommended by my doctor to all of her clients and has had surprisingly positive results. This disease is so dark, debilitating, and hopeless, that any research done to resolve it is worth it 100 times over.

I would definitely love more research into better treatments for Lyme disease. I have been suffering deeply for too many years. I was so excited to try my first round of CelWel, I noticed pretty soon a decrease in my overall inflammation and body pain plus a slight increase in energy. I also noticed a change in my mood / depression that was exciting. CelWel is now my first choice go to in fighting this awful disease.

Thank you for this product! It has helped reduce symptoms for myself and my clients. Overall support has been wonderful. I have Babesia, viruses, active lung infection and an autoimmune disease, as do most of my patients. Easy to use and tastes great!

CelWell absolutely works! We need to be funding more research like this so that people like me and others here can continue to see improvement in their symptoms. The difference between not taking CelWell and taking it is a vast difference for me. My pain and inflammation are significantly reduced, as well as other symptoms I experience.

Hi Joel,

I had the following symptoms: Extreme Fatigue, Sore Throat, Gut Pain.

I took Cel-Wel and followed the protocol. My symptoms reduced significantly.

Whenever there is a flareup, I immediately start on Cel-Wel, which is my go-to now when starting to feel unwell.

Best, Holly

Joel, whether this ultimately proves to be the answer, part of an answer, or neither, I appreciate the basic premise here: investigate it properly. Chronic Lyme patients live in a world full of anecdotes because so many potentially useful questions never graduate to the kind of study that can actually settle them. Seventy-three patients reporting meaningful changes in cognition, pain and energy is not something I think should automatically be treated as proof—but it is certainly enough to make me ask why we wouldn't want a rigorous trial that tells us what is actually happening. Patients deserve answers either way.

Joel, thank you for sharing this perspective. Low-cost, non-patentable therapies may attract limited commercial investment, underscoring the need for publicly funded research. Patients deserve exploration of promising approaches beyond pharmaceuticals—with the same scientific rigor applied to all.

A homeopathic dose in a 7x potency would still have some particles left in the bottle. The potency must be at least a 6c to not have particles in the product. I'm glad you are acknowledging that you are including a homeopathic product. I think it's is deceptive to not tell people that it's is thimerisol.

Thanks for sharing all this data with us, Joel! Everything stacks up nicely in this pitch so I hope they listen and fund a trial. Does thimerosal cause a herx reaction like with herbs and such?

MY HUSBAND DIED FROM 4 TICK-BORN DISEASES & ON HIS 10TH BRAIN AUTOPSY IN 11 YEARS THIS NOV. 2026.

my late husband, JACK GORDON, IOWA, was 1st diagnosed with essential tremors for 5 yrs; then PARKINSON'S for 5 years; then dementia crept in bad!

during the last 2-3 yrs, he was hallucinating in his sleep and visually seeing things NOT there.

the story i wrote about his/my life can be found here at this site:

https://durayresearch.wordpress.com/our-work/...sease-patients/

the results of his 1st brain autopsy can be found here on DURAY RESEARCH FOUNDATION where they found Jack's brain made world-wide history having 2 diseases NEVER found together before in a brain autopsy:

·      Lyme/tick disease;

·      Lewy body dementia having the visual and very violent hallucinations like Robin Williams had;

·      a cluster of filarial nematode parasitic worms in brain having LYME TOO!!

·      Alan became ill before he got his part written up for publication.

·      So I've been working with Dr. Marna Erikson, Univ. of Minn., who did Jack's 2nd brain autopsy.

·      She found 2nd TICK-borne disease:

·      Bartonella, 2 species!

·      cat scratch disease and

·      other name represents lice/homelessness, which neither of us ever had!

·      Hopefully later this year after commitments,  Marna can work on getting this written up and submitted to a scientific medical journal for publication as Alan M. promised me on 1st autopsy.

·       it took 1 YEAR TO GET HER FINISHED RESULTS WITH ME PURSUING THIS VS. HER GIVING THESE TO ME WITHOUT ASKING!

·      i paid $10,000 for Marna's autopsy of Jack's brain!

·        I gave a very generous donation to DURAY RESEARCH FOUNDATION so other families could have the SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE they needed.

·       Frankly, both orgs FAILED ME!

·      Jack was diagnosed 2 nights before he passed away with:

·      cancer in his lung & liver!

·      his death certificate shows he died from LUNG CANCER; they made a mistake earlier adding COLON cancer in another area.

·       I caught their error & had that corrected!

·      I'm going to work on amending it for final time with ALL BRAIN AUTOPSY RESULTS ABOVE that contributed to Jack's death.

·      EACH requires me to go before a judge for  a COURT ORDER to get his death certificate amended and CDC statistics!

·      IOWA DEPT. OF HEALTH informed me, "books are closed on IOWA CDC statistics; they will NOT open them to add Jack's positive case to them"!

·      WISH ME LUCK;  It's been 3 years to get this far folks!

·      To date,  I've never gotten any of the Iowa medical folks to work with me on getting Jack's death certificate AMENDED to all the things CONTRIBUTING FACTORS to his death!!

·      ps..Minn. Dr. suggested I get my blood tested for Bartonella too, the 2 species sending my blood to no. 1 bart lab in USA, GALAXY, NC!!

·      Guess what?  I'M POSITIVE FOR BARTONELLA, BOTH SPECIES TOO!    waiting to find out treatment plan now!

·        Bottom line EVEN though you are diagnosed with PARKINSON'S,   there may be other diseases INVOLVED in your illness like my husband's was.

·      I had his brain autopsied because of his weird behavior that my gut said,  Betty,  find out what he has vs. what he does NOT HAVE!   I did;  I'm happy with the 2 autopsy results.

·      https://durayresearch.wordpress.com/our-work/...rative-disease/

·         2.5.2026 updated!

·      5-6 yrs. Ago I started working with BAY AREA LYME FOUNDATIONS “BIO BANK”, LIZ HORN DIRECTOR.  JACK’S BRAIN HAS BEEN TO 10 STATES  & 10 RESEARCH LABS.

·      Jack’s brain is now at Harvard for his 9th  brain autopsy.   ON HOLD THERE…. They have a “hotter” case they put as no. 1 priority over jack’s case.

·      10th one is at GEORGE MASON UNIV., FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, since last summer.

·        HOPEFULLY, ONCE THESE 2 TB RESEARCH LABS ARE DONE, THEY WILL WRITE A COMBINED 8 LAB CASE STUDY AND PUBLISH IN A MEDICAL JOURNAL AS ALAN MACDONALD PROMISED ME NOV. 2015 !!!

·      Jack’s brain has been to 10 states, 10 research labs plus 1 year at des moines univ. osteopathic college for study purposes in the 12 yrs. since he died!

·      I would have NEVER believed it would take this long to get a case study written up and PUBLISHED in a medical journal to help other tb patients/families to educate them as evidence on their loved one’s symptoms and what else it COULD BE!

·      JACK AND I BOTH NEVER SAW AN EMBEDDED TICK.

·      WE DID NOT HAVE ANY BULLS-EYE RASHES EITHER!!   Grrr.      ************************************************

·         8.19.26--ANOTHER SUBJECT:

·      NEVER DONATE MONEY FOR BRAIN RESEARCH UNTIL THE CASE STUDY HAS BEEN WRITTEN AND PUBLISHED IN A MEDICAL JOURNAL!!

·         BETTY GORDON, 8.19.26

·      Dr. Alan MacDonald, Florida pathologist, called me about the above saying,  "Betty, you're going to be the FIRST CO-AUTHOR over us 3 medical folks when they gets PUBLISHED in a scientific medical journal !!"·      MARNA failed to submit Jack's case for scientific medical publication too!I am extremely disappointed since I paid both people for results.     ·      ON HOLD THERE; designated staff person had major surgery and is recuperating at home until they can come back to work.9.23.26---sometime this summer another person was assigned jack's case since liz horn, bio bank director, was having horrible time working with virginia!!!·      DM univ. PRESERVED his brain to study and that has allowed 10 brain autopsies to date to be done!!!!thank you dm univ. former funeral director for preserving it correctly 😉DM NEVER told me he PRESERVED JACK'S BRAIN CORRECTLY or i could have pursued an immediate brain autopsy!!·       Betty Gordon, iowa widow/activist·       ·     I was misdiagnosed myself for 35 yrs. by up to 50 drs.  I'M 57 YRS. CHRONIC LYME/BART/CAT SCRATCH DISEASE, 2 SPECIES PATIENT !!·          THIS IS A WHOLE ANOTHER, PAINFUL STORY TAKING 6.5 YRS. TO GET JUSTICE AND BE PAID 75% OF WHAT I DONATED AFTER JACK’S DIAGNOSIS 3 MONTHS AGO to DURAY RESEARCH FOUNDATION.
